This Made my Day!!!

It was snowing when I left for work, and still is. At least another 5 in. so far.
It is beautiful to look at, in December, January, even February, but come on
enough is enough!!
I want SPRING!!! I want to be working in the garden and seeing flowers like Suze.
I want to take the kids to the beach and go camping.
The list could go on and on, but I will stop there. Thanks for letting me VENT!

I am Subbing at our local High School today, lucky for me it has been pretty quiet so
far, yippee!! I am in the In School Suspension Room. I just have to keep them under control, lol.

The nice thing is, I have access to Internet, so if "the children" are behaving I can catch up here
in blogland.
Anyways, there I go rambling again.

Our Sweet Bindi made my DAY!! Thank you, Bindi for this wonderful award!!

The "You Make my Day Award" works like this:

1. Write a post with links to 5 blogs that make me think and/or make my day.
2. Acknowledge the post of the award giver.
3. Tell the award winners they won by commenting on their blogs with the news!

*note* all tags and Meme's are optional

Five blogs that make my day start on a beautiful note:

1. Creative Cecile - she makes me smile with her sense of humor and writing!

2. Happy Robyn - pin-ups, dotee dolls and beautiful pictures makes this a great place to visit

3. Bomber Mark - My NASCAR and FORMULA 1 Buddy from down under!

4. Sassy Kylie - Another Aussie friend, wonderful stories about life and family!

5. CSI Brian - Great stories on being an aspiring writer and CSI, plus owner of the "Cafe"

It was very hard to pick just 5, cuz there are many more that I go to visit everyday. There are also some that I am still stalking or lurking in the background. But, I still love to visit......

There are also some that have already received this Award so if you would like to visit them stop by Bindi's Beautiful World and see who else received this award .

Good thoughts to all,

Love, Gig

Well this is the "4th Observation" from your Supervisor. Screw you! And to think I tucked money in all your pockets.

Oh, that's right, Bindi already gave me this award (forgot about that!!!). I'll go collect it now and wave it in your face. But just remember, I have a long memory. Very long. I know...blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You picked your top 5 and I'm not one. Well, looks like NASCAR isn't going to get priority at the old cafe. Is it? Nor will you be getting money from the laundering, unless I.V. has something to say about it. Yup...I have a new gig and you ain't it baby! You gave the award to Kylie!!! She doesn't even visit your damn work place! I'm there 24/7. No. I don't forgive you. Kylie, nothing against you. This is between Gig and me and we're about to wrestle. Keep your Dad and the purple shrub back because this could get nasty. (Well...not really. I'm a pacifist, but don't tell Gig. It's our little secret. Right!?)

Oh dear, I forgot I'm not on Kylies Blog, I'm on yours. No. I can't stop laughing.

:)

Suzanne,
Your blog is the first place I visit everyday, and many times througout the day. Why, you might wonder, cuz I love it there, your roses, your animals and your great sense of humor and honesty!! When Bindi sent me that award I was honored. The first person I thought of that makes my day was you, however I seen that Bindi had given it to you and felt that I shouldn't add to your work, between the 'cafe, the beautiful garden and the park with the animals, etc...
I know, I let you down, with never finding an assistant. I am truely sorry.
I will try to do better in the future.

*cleaning out my locker at the cafe* :)

You spelled "truly" wrong. Clean it up lady. Start playing "Free Rice" on my blog, Bindi's, Baby Suzanne's or Maithi's blog. It's the best! You provide free rice AND get to see how horrible you are at vocabulary at the same time! It's a hoot.

Baby, baby, baby...don't clean out your locker yet. Please. I don't want you to go. You're my best girl (well, until you were corrupted by I.V.). If you go, we all go. I used the word "go" alot. Apparently because I needed to. DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE WITH ROBYN!!! Is that more effective? (Robyn, I'm kidding, it's just for effect.) DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE WITH I.V. (I.V., I'm just kidding, it's just for effect.) DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE WITH BRIAN...Oh that's right, I am alone because Brian is gone, gone, gone. What's my damn point. Oh, that's right. Don't go and leave me alone with the rest of them. Come on honey, give it the old hair stylist, substitute teacher try. Don't make me beg. Right. Apparently I already did. Well, you know what I mean. I'll beg.

Bindi gave me so many awards I forgot. I stil have to collect them. I collected two today and thought that was it, but after seeing yours realized that looked familiar too! I've gotta go back and search for that little buzzard. I know he's in that blog somewhere, with a 4th one.

I love that you love me, cuz I love you. It's an honor to have you visit because of the roses, animals and my great sense of humor. If you leave me, I'm done for, so knock it off and come back from your road trip with renewed vigor (also known as mo-jo). I'll see you at the cafe. I've locked your locker, so basically you're screwed. You aren't leaving with that apron honey! Come and sit down for a nice cup of Latte and we'll chat.

Love you sweetie.
XO

P.S. Plus, I could wrestle you. I have a dislocated shoulder.

I meant to say I "couldn't" wrestle you. Jeasus.

Hey there Gig and company?
Why do I persist in calling you Gig when i know your name is Debbie? I don't know

Suzanne has taught me well and I'm gonna broadcast my thoughts from your blog comments page. Why? who knows? who cares?

i don't visit Gigs workplace?? is that gigsville? or the cafe?
i stop by at the cafe but i dont think it's my place, i've been left behind there long ago, so i dont comment. Thats me, y'know? if i'm outta my depth i shut up and try not to take in too much water.

I haven't visited Gigsville (or bomber,or bindi, or suze's place or maithri...) recently because my dear sweet dimples used almost half of the months download limit in ONE DAY so i haven't had time to visit any one because i've been too busy trying not to strangle him.
I've also been desperately trying to conserve Mbytes but now they're all gone so i can blog away to my hearts content, just VERY SLOWLY.

So, there you have it...i am around when i can have the patience to wait a half hour for a page to load and everyones posts will still be there for me to read when we make it to april. believe me I WILL BE BACK
i will take my award and say hello and whatever else is neccessary IN APRIL

wow, gig/deb sorry about that....I was dropping by to say g'day and got a wee bit distracted !
love to you all
kylie

Dear Kylie,
Gig or Debbie is fine, the 9 year old granddaughter named me Giggy, then Gig. Now the younger GK's grace me with that name, plus some Adults. I enjoy it, there are a lot of Debbies, but I only know 1 Gig!! But, I do like my "real name" too. So feel free with either one.
I realize now that you and Mark have to watch internet usage, no problem. I really understand the part about waiting for pages to load. For 4 yrs we had very slow internet, now I am in internet heaven with hi-speed and wireless, Yippee!!!

I want Gigsville to be a place anyone can visit and say what they choose and feel at home.
I too go visit the "cafe", sometimes I comment, sometimes not.
Just continue to be your wonderful self. Love just as you are!!!
Say hello to the family!!!
love you, Gig

Gig, I wish I could send you some sunshine from Texas. We only had a few snowflakes and now the days go from high 70's to 50's. The children are already sporting the latest fipflops. Hang in there, it's coming "spring that is" and some it will be hot as ever...in Texas.
As soon as I finish editing pictures of Italy...I'll share with my lovely friends. Thanks again for the warm welcome back.

Oh Jeasus...everyone is here.

Okay, I love 'Gig' cuz it's so fun to say. I also love your real name, but Gig sort of tickles as the word comes out of my mouth!

I followed Kylie here for an explanation, per her instructions. Okay, I now know why her words have been limited to every other! I'm going to have to do a Google search of better internet services in Aussie Land and direct her and Mark to the most obvious.

I never knew Kylie was reading Brian's blog. Never. That little rascal. And you, Gig, indicating you hesitate to comment too. You little liar! You start most of the crap over there! Don't make me walk in the snow with flip flops young lady!

Well, Brian's gone, the cafe is closed. What a good run. We really had a blast.

Love you sweetie! XO

p.s. Kylie...I'm waiting for April.

Suze,
So glad you stopped by!! I know it is hard to believe that I sometimes don't comment, but it is true. The article Brian wrote about is "interesting". It did describe my blogging habits, along with I'm sure many people. Did I agree with all of it, no. Some parts, yes.
It is not going to stop me from blogging. But I do understand if anyone needs to focus on other things and/or has to take a break.
Such is this thing we call life...

When I started this blog, I really had no idea where it would lead...
I have always enjoyed writing, but did not focus on any specific form, poetry, stories, etc.
But now I have written several poems and thought maybe a long ago dream of writing short stories or a children's book (thanks to Cece) is possible. This has been like a stepping stone, one leads to another. Some days the words come easier than others.

I really enjoyed the 'cafe, I do think it needs a new location. I wanted to be a part of the "crew", so I had to make my brain get into writing mode!! We had a great run...*taking down NASCAR beads*

Maybe we'll just have to open a new one...

Oh,BTW I think you and your flip flops would look great in the snow!!

Got to run for now,

Love you lots,
Gig
