This is where I want to be...Pensacola Beach

The snow is beautiful but I am cold and depressed...so I really want to be somewhere that is warm and sunny!! So...I thought I would post some pics from one of my favorite places. I have lots of memories of good times with family. I always wanted to live here, it just didn't never work out. Maybe someday...we never know what is around the corner waiting for us.
My cousins and I always had a riot when we were at the beach, I continued the tradition with my daughter. It has been too long since I have visited...I hope to sometime soon.
Sipping a cold drink and watching the waves and waiting for the sun to set...
..
Since there are a lot of posts with questions, I am going to ask one of my own. Where would be your ideal place to live or visit?

That looks wonderful! And I know what you mean--the winter, the short days and sniffles and such, always make me a bit blue.

If I could live anywhere, it would be Brooklyn, but I would have a house in London and one in Jerusalem as well!

Hang in there Gig--

Thanks Leah,
I am trying to hang in there...

Right now we have about 2 ft of snow on the ground and still snowing!! It looks like a postcard.

In my perfect life I would be here and then be able to go to my beach house...and then travel around the world to see all my blogging buddies.

i must be unimaginative cos theres nowhere i dream of living.

the winters here a very mild compared to yours and i dont mind them but i think i would find the extreme cold a bit hard to take

My ideal place to live would be the unit next door to our home. It is newer and much tidier. I have always had my eye on the place and would buy it at the first opportunity.

I would like to visit the Wild, Wild West of the United States. Especially Tombstone in Cochise County, Arizona.

Hi Khylie,
I do love where I live, so I don't think I could ever move 100% away...but to go somewhere warm or travel for a time when it is really cold would be awesome. I have a lot of friends and clients who leave starting anytime after Sept., to return in April or May.
They are called Snowbirds, they fly the coop in the winter for warmer climate, lol.

At the rate we are going for snowfall, we would need a major hot spell to melt the two feet of white stuff on the ground!!

xoxo, gig

Hi Mark,
Glad you liked my Reindeer, I thought he was pretty colorful and cheerful!!

I hope you get the opportunity to get the unit next door someday!!

When you get to come visit the Wild West we all will have to get together...

Gig, you can stay at my place; Pensacola is just around the corner from my house so c'mon!

And for the record, we have had record low temperatures this month so it's not really THAT warm.

HUGS!!!!

I love the Outter Banks of North Carolina. The Light houses are beautiful, and the beaches are very secluded. It is just a gently paradise, and I would love to immerse myself inside that Paradise right now. Gig, give me a call Friday evening. Perhaps we can lift a bit of this depression bug together.

Qween Goob,
Great to see ya!! Thanks for the invite, when I get to my fav place I will be in touch. I know that you are not having real warm weather either...hope it warms up some real soon for you.

Another one of my favorite things in the south are boiled peanuts, fresh ones are the best...but canned ones work in a pinch. My cuz in Alabama usually sends them to me, yumm...

Cece,
Have never been to the Outer Banks, but would love to go and spend time there...anywhere there is water, sand and beach is the best. I too like beaches that are secluded...time for peaceful meditation. Love lighthouses too, makes me think of all the history they hold and stories they could tell...

Sorry, we had cut our conversation short, but you know my life with the gkids, lol, gotta love em!! I have enjoyed my quiet, but it is getting ready to end, lucky me!! I have not got one thing done yet today,(not good), and I have the Christmas party for work tonight.
Soooo, I must get busy, dishes, laundry, get decorations out, rearrange furniture, gee, now who do I sound like...(love ya blottie)!!

Let me know when is good time to call... love ya, deb

Anytime is a good time to call me. I hope you were able to get alot done. I didn't get much at all done today. I cleaned my fridge. Did two loads of laundry, one load of dishes, cooked two meals, cleaned off the kitchen table, straightened up the boys room, and vacummed the living room. My head hurt today, so I laid around alot today. But there is alwasy tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll clean house then.

Gig...

I shoveled about a foot of snow while I was on vacation two weeks ago in Minnesota. It was fun doing it, but even more fun knowing I didn't have to do it for the next four months.

Queenie,
Yea, I still love ya, just wish I was there!! It is 16 degrees and snowing all day, brrr. I left my camera downstate at thanksgiving so I can't even take any pictures of the white stuff.

Enjoy the warmth for me!!

Bob,
I hear ya, fun for a little while, but then it is time to move on...

Glad your vacation with justmom was good. I am going to make the casserole for the gkids while they are on break, pass on my thanks to justmom for the recipe!

I keep thinking if I leave up my beach pics the snow will go away, lol.
