Is it Winter already?

It has arrived!! That "stuff" we love to watch as it slowly falls to the ground...it is so pretty to look at...all the children love to run and slide.

While the adults that have to travel to work...they too slip and slide...and SWEAR, oh my!!

We got are first measurable SNOW last night, but guess what, we missed it!! Yea!! But don't worry it was still here when we arrived home tonight. I don't think I am ready for this. I know it is November...but...once it starts it doesn't quit till...next.........who know when!!

I do love winter and snow, I really do but I think I might need to work on my "winter" attitude. I will take it one snowy day at a time. I will go visit Kylie and think about all the things I am thankful for...tomorrow... maybe.

Ok, on a more positive note....Ed and I went to a surprise Birthday party for our sister-in-law this past weekend. We all had a great time, she was "surprised", it was great to spend time with Ed's family. We also spent time with my Mom. I got to shop at some of my favorite stores. I even started my Christmas shopping!! Only a million more presents to go,lol.

After Thursday I will be a "Deer Hunter's Widow" for a week or so, (sorry Suze), but I cherish my free time while he is in the woods. He will be with his brothers and our grandson and Son-in-law. I'm sure they will have a good time bonding while camping in the cold and snow.
Then on Saturday I am going with a friend to Ann Arbor to the "Big House", aka, the University of Michigan Stadium. I am excited, we will be tailgating and cheering for maize and blue!! Go Michigan!! And yes, I do know we are rebuilding the team...so go BLUE!!

I have missed everyone and hope to get back in the blogging mode. Thanks to all my dear friends that have stopped by and called... I love you all!!

Lotsa love,

Gig

Hey Gig,

Great to hear from you :) I agree Winter is best experienced one day at a time. Glad that you and Ed had a good time with your sister-in-law and that you got to spend time with your Mom. Not so good to be reminded that Christmas is just around the corner. Aagh!

Cheers & beers,
M xo
p.s. I know it must be winter over there 'cause the mercury reached 32 Celsius here today!

I miss New England.
I miss the beautiful fall season.
I miss the history and architecture.
I miss the people and attitude.

I do not miss winter, snow, ice, blizzards, shoveling, or scraping.

But if I got the right offer, I'd go back in a heartbeat!

U of M. Our neighbor, a retired doctor attended U of M med school. He didn't kill anyone, so I think he got a good education!

HI HONEY!!!. Just stopping by to tell you to get your pretty ass over to the Wild Onion. Brian has finally arrived and he's very funny. I think we should all be there to look over the body (trust me, you'll understand). You're outfit is hanging on the bathroom door. You might want to put it on.

Snow. You lucky girl. You unlucky girl. What? I've covering every base. Wow, just read the comments. Me too!!! I'm going to have to marry Bob, move back to New England and start a family. Wow, Bob just lite up like a Christmas tree!

Love you baby. Welcome home. And don't worry about the hunting. I deal with HUNTER over on IV's blog and I'll tell you something special, I pray for the deer. They usually get away. I have to believe you're husband's deer will get away too! One must always have hope. ;)

XO
Me!

Gig!

I watched the game today... that was some really crappy weather you must have sat through. There's some hot apple cider waiting for you over at the Wild Onion to warm you up.

Gee, the Wolverines really stink this year. Almost makes you yearn for the days of Lloyd Carr, even if he couldn't figure out a way to beat the Buckeyes!

Hey Mark,
Thanks for coming by to visit!!
It is not "offically" winter yet, but it sure feels like it. The first snow left, but it has reappeared...just the start of the season.

Now I am getting ready for Thanksgiving and then Christmas, time is moving to fast!!

Cheers and a few beers,
gig, xoxo

Hi Blottie!!

So glad to see you...it is great to see Brian at the Onion. There is always something happening over there, it is great!!

My hunter husband is still gone to "hunting" camp, but the deer are hiding real well. So, keep up the prayers, sweetie.

Talked to Cece last night for a long time, her sweet boys are so funny...

Hope each day is getting a little better for you.

Love you, gig

Bob,
Thanks for the Hail to the Victors!!

Crappy doesn't even begin to describe the weather...RAIN, SNOW, SLEET... you name it we got it. However it was exciting to be there for the First Half!!
Got see the 2nd touchdown up close, seats right behind the goal post, row 5...AWESOME!!

We left at halftime to go back to a friends warm abode with really big screen tv to watch the SAD end of the game. On our way thru slush and mud to the car we heard Northwestern score two touchdowns, ouch!
I will agree about wishing for Lloyd Carr and what is it out those Buckeyes?!!

Thanks for the Hot Cider, it sure it the spot, *sips more of delicious "spiked cider"*

Time to get ready for NASCAR, and probably will check in on those hopeless, sad Lions. Another team that needs to be readjusted.

Have a great week!!

Gig
xoxo

I didn't even notice the boobs until I just reread all the comments. That's too funny.

Hi honey! It was so wonderful to talk to you the other night. I know it was late, thanks for taking my call. Let's do it more often than not. I still laugh when I think about,
"God, you don't really have the Arkansas accent I imagined."
"I'm not in Arkansas, I'm in Michigan, remember? The Michigan game?"
"Yeah, right."

God, that's just too funny. Cece gets me all screwy with vital information. Let's always keep in touch via phone because it matters. Like you said, "A voice makes all the difference." It does. I love you dear and enjoyed talking to you more than you know. We'll chat soon. Until then take lots of baths and try to find your inner peace! What? Of course I'm laughing. Oh, by the way, how are the deer? Safe I hope.

XO

I am working on a new post, but it is still SNOWING HERE!! Kids didnot have School yesterday (Monday). So, I thought the post was still appropiate, yea right, I know it has been there for 3 weeks.

I would like to send thanks to everyone who has taken the time to stop and visit Gigsville, it really does mean a lot to me.
I feel very blessed and thankful to have all my blogging family here...take care and know that you all are near and dear to me!!

Hi honey. Sorry I haven't called. I've been in a bit of a funk and talking on the phone seems hard the past few days. Ask Cece. She called a gazillion time and I wouldn't pick up. I wouldn't even take my Mom's calls until I could tell she was nearly in tears and very, very worried. When I'm upset I don't reach out, I cacoon. Why? Who knows.

Hunter (Rob) is doing a very interesting post with the 30 questions thing. He wrote about why he hunts in response to a question I asked. Your hubby might find it very interesting. I sure did. And darlin' thanks for taking the time to explain why your hubby hunts. I do understand

I love you darling and hope all is well. Stay warm and safe. Until we chat again, huge hug and sloppy kiss!

;)
