When the Weather Ball is red, higher temperatures ahead.
When the Weather Ball is blue, lower temperatures are due.
Yellow light in the Weather Ball, means there will be no changes at all.
When colors blink in agitation, there is going to be precipitation.
Another Beautiful Day here in not so sunny Michigan. So... I thought I would get out the ol' Weather Ball, and see what he says compared to the "weatherman" on TV. The weather ball is Blinking in agitation so guess what... we are getting more precipitation!!!

The Weather Ball sits on top of Citizens Bank in
Flint, Michigan. It was built in 1956 and is a fond memory for many people, including myself. Mr. C.B. was popular during the 1960's. The Weather Ball
weighs 2.5 tons, and 15 ft in height and diameter, with a circumfrence of 47 ft.
The Weather Ball can be seen for 25 miles and can withstand winds of 120 mph.
The Weather Ball is still working these days, a little too much agitating lately if you ask me, ah, but nobody did. I just thought I would share a little hometown history, oops, did I just say hometown? Not everybody likes to admit having been to Flint, much less that they grew up and worked there most of their life.
But, I will!! It has its bad points, but it also has many good things going for it.
Point being, don't believe everything that you read or see in the movies that Michael Moore has made.
Hope everyone enjoyed a little glimpse into the Weather Ball!!!!
Wonderful, Sunny thoughts to All

Thank you Gig :)
You are always surprising me with
your posts. I really enjoyed reading about the Weather Ball and Flint, your home town. It's terrific to learn that the Weather Ball and the Citizens Bank building are still around fifty years later.
Love,
Mark.
Mark,
I am glad you enjoyed the post on "the weather ball". When I started this blog, I was not quite sure what I was going to write about. Since then, I have found some posts are easier than others. Every post has inspired me to do more. And... it seems each one may take me to a different place and time...ahh..I think I am rambling. Hence my title, Ramblings from Gig....another story, another day...
Have a Great Aussie Day
Love, Debbie

Gig...forgive me for I have been very, very bad. I know I have not written or commented, but I wanted to come directly here and state as much. I'll be better. It's only February and I still have hope! You should too! I love all your comments. You are such a dear friend. Thank you for never relenting. I love you. I really, really do. I will try to improve, but I'm a bit overwhelmed with the success of my blog. I need an assistant, but can't afford one.
Any suggestions? How can I get paid for this stuff. I see a career here!!!
XO Suzanne :)
The weather ball is awsome. Very cute post.
Suzanne,
It is good to see you here, but do not worry about not having written, I don't think there is a rule in blog world that says that one must always comment. I appreciate you and your kind thoughts, thank you. I still do hold out hope for Spring, :)
Suzanne, yours was the first blog I linked to from one pic and as "they say" the rest is history!! I have found many new and wonderful friends all over the world! I am so blessed.
So thank you for being there with your beautiful roses and your words of wisdom and last but not least your love of all your precious animals.
Now, you just have to take it one day at a time until you find an assistant :)
XO Debbie
That is the coolest thing I have ever read about! A weather ball and that it still works is in it self incrediable! Very cool!
Hugs,
Robyn
Robyn,
Thanks for stopping by and checking out the weather ball. I always thought it was cool. It has been getting a workout in blinking yesterday, over 10 in. of snow in Flint last 24 hrs.
hugs
Debbie
Hi Debbie,
Have just re -read this post and noticed the way you changed the colours of the text to the different colurs of the weather ball. Very clever :) The colours are very irridescent on my pc. They look fantastic.
Have a lovely week-end.
Love to you and your family,
Mark.
